Fri-yay! Not to panic you, but did you realize Christmas Eve is two weeks from tomorrow? Not gonna’ lie. I like legit didn’t realize that until I just checked the calendar to figure out how long we had. TWO WEEKS people! I find this both exciting and mind numbing at the same time. It’s time to make things happen and get er’ done as our friend Mater says on Cars. I guess the first thing I can mark of my list for today is Friday Favorites.
Yesterday when I was reading Kellyann’s blog, she shared this sign. Well it just cracked me up and now I feel the need to find one. Wouldn’t you know in all of her beautiful decor this is what really caught my warped eye? I found a cute one here on Etsy, but I think I could just make one with my Silhouette Cameo machine, which by the way would make a great Christmas gift if you have a crafter in your life. I’m able to do all kinds of fun stuff with this thing.
Shop Nutcrackers here
I’m kinda thinking I should have just copied and pasted Kellyann’s blog on here today since she just gave me all sorts of inspiration this week for my favorites. She has the most awesome collection of Nutcrackers. Well here’s my collection. All 2 of them.? But seriously, this little wooden man has a special place in my heart. Kent use to take the kids to Target (or for Katie the craft store) and let them get me a Christmas gift. Well, Benny kept me supplied with candles. He’d apparently go straight to the candles every year, grab one and be done. Typical little boy. HA! In 2003 he deviated and chose this Nutcracker and it will forever be one of my favorites.
Did you take advantage of candle day at Bath and Body Works on Saturday? We did. I picked up quite a few of our favorite Fresh Balsam candles. If you haven’t tried this one yet, you really need to. Your whole house will smell like Christmas. Love it! (I should have moved the little weight. Crazy how you just get use to something laying there)
My new Erin Condren planner arrived this week. I love getting a new planner every year.
Last year I did a personalized cover with pictures of our family, but this year I decided to try a simple design with just my name. It was described as rose gold, but is really more bronze. I love being able to choose how you want to do your organization. I choose a month at a glance type. I need to be able to see the whole thing instead of a week at a time.
I shared this dress on Instagram yesterday. Do you know what you’re wearing on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day yet? There are so many great plaid options out there. I found shirts, vests, and scarves just to name a few. This dress would be so cute with tights and a fun pair of OTK boots or leggings and leopard flats.
Here are a bunch of ideas to add a little Christmas cheer to your wardrobe. Throw in a little green or red to make it festive.
Have a great weekend friends and if you’re not already, I’d love for you to follow me on Bloglovin’, Facebook, Instagram & Pinterest and subscribe for email updates whenever there’s a new post.
