There was a time when I wasn’t a huge fan of yogurt.
It wasn’t up until about 2 years ago when I tried Greek yogurt that I changed my mind and now I love it. Well, let me say I love some of it. My favorite Greek yogurt is Dannon Light and Fit.
I’m still not a fan of just regular yogurt, but Greek yogurt has a thicker texture and better taste (in my humble opinion). One little container has 12 grams of protein and also helps me get my calcium. I love to add fresh fruit to it and sometimes add a drizzle of honey, a little granola and maybe some mini-chocolate chips. I’ve even put powdered PB2 in it with mini-chocolate chips for a different kind of treat.
With my new found love for peaches, I’ve been pairing them with my yogurt and rather than just plopping it all in a bowl I thought I’d fancy it up a little and layer it in an ice cream dish. Who doesn’t like things served in an ice cream dish?
I mean after all, you eat with your eyes first.
Just look at the yummy layers of peaches and yogurt. I drizzled on some honey for just a touch of extra sweetness and then topped them with some toasted almonds for crunch.
Is it breakfast? Is it lunch? Is it a snack? You decide. It’s whatever you want it to be, but it’s for sure a delicious little treat that you can have guilt free. Packed with fruit and protein from the yogurt, what could be better?
If you’re not a fan of yogurt, maybe you just haven’t had it the right way or tried the right brand yet. Give this a try and let me know what you think. If peaches aren’t your thing (I’ve just recently changed my mind about them too) try blueberries, raspberries or strawberries. Frozen cherries slightly thawed and cut up make for a delicious choice too. Then there’s always blueberry yogurt with fresh blueberries added in. The combinations are only as limited as you make them.
Do you have a favorite yogurt or way to eat yogurt? I’d love to know, just comment below.

This looks yummy! I like frozen yogurt but not regular yogurt–weird, right?
