These seem like pretty good words for a Monday morning.
I don’t know about you, but we had a super busy weekend and it went by even faster than usual. It was filled with lots of fun events and memories made. There’s nothing like watching your children do things that make them excited and happy.
Let me give you a little recap of how our weekend looked.
Friday afternoon Katie and I did a run through of hair and makeup for Senior Ball which was Saturday and then ate dinner at home.
I made a spaghetti casserole which may sound oh so boring, but this one has a yummy filling in it that takes it from ho-hum, to yum-yum!!!

Come back later this week for the recipe. 😉
Saturday morning it was really dreary and overcast and raining off and on. I was literally praying all morning for the sun to come out because their Senior Ball was at an outdoor venue. They were getting together at 3:00 for pictures so about noon we started the getting ready process to allow time if we had trouble…which thankfully we didn’t 🙂

She looked so beautiful and I was one proud momma!
Meet Jack. He’s a real sweetheart. This was actually their first date, but they had a “ball”.
I know I may be biased, but they make a darling little couple.
As you can see my prayers were answered and the sun came out. It was a beautiful afternoon for pictures and watching the kids have so much fun with all their friends.
These beauties are Katie’s besties here in California, and they are two sweet girls!
So this is part of their “squad”
And here they are “muggin”…whatever that means. HAHAHA
Do you remember looking forward all year to your Senior Prom/Ball? I do. It’s one of the big highlights of the year. Now that it’s over Katie has said several times how sad she is that it’s over. They had so much fun!!!

pants / Wedge lace up sandals / necklace / earrings
Sunday I wore these pants that I previously talked about here to church. They are from Loft and have just the right amount of stretch, but be sure to size down because they stretch out quite a bit.
I added a striped cami under my sweater and really liked the mix of stripes with the print on my pants. There was a time when mixing prints was a big “no-no”, but those days are long gone and now all bets are off. Bring on the print mixing for some visual interest.
This sweater from Loft would be a great option with these pants and the texture would work well with the print and BONUS it’s on SALE for 60% off.
OR if you want something for warmer days I got this mixed media tee with a darling shirred back to go with them and it’s on sale too!
The wedges I’m wearing are from Macy’s and I was really excited to find them. I wore them all day Sunday for the first time and they were very comfortable especially for brand new shoes. The heel is just high enough and the lace up look is everywhere you turn right now. They have a zipper up the back so you don’t have to mess with loosening and tightening the laces every time you put them on.
Now for some exciting news…
The sign is up and we officially have conformation that a Chick-Fil-A is coming close to us.
YIPPEE!!!!
#eatmorechicken
If you’ve ever lived where there is a Chick-Fil-A and then move to where there isn’t one, you know why I’m so excited. Not only is it yummy, it’s just feels like home whenever we go in one. ♥
Okay friends, that’s it for today. I hope you are ready to make the most of your week and stop back by frequently to see what’s going on over here at Coast to Coast. You never know what you might find. A new recipe? A new project? A new outfit?
It could be just about anything.
Happy Monday!
Lisa
