Who Am I?

Welcome to Coast to Coast. As I was trying to figure out what my first post would be I decided a little introduction might be good. So, Who am I?  I’m Lisa. A wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend and last but certainly not least a Christian woman of strong faith. I’ve been married to my best friend Kent, for 23 years.  We have 2 great kids who really aren’t kids anymore. We are staring straight down the barrel of an empty nest in the fall. Our son Benny is a Junior in college and our daughter Katie is a Senior in high school. So Coast to Coast is going be my “new baby”.

I’ve been very blessed to be able to stay at home with our children and do the job I was born to do…be a MOM.  It’s the most rewarding and yet challenging job that can make both your heart and head want to explode at the same time, and I wouldn’t trade a moment of the last 21 years.

I’ve always been a bit of an entrepreneur going as far back as elementary school. Remember those braided barretts???  Yep, I’d take “orders” and make them for my friends for a small fee.

As time passed I kept that entrepreneurial spirit.  I’ve owned my own jewelry business, been a consultant for Southern Living at Home and now have joined Rodan + Fields in the skincare business.

I’m a huge PINTEREST fan and find lots of inspiration for cooking, DIY and fashion there. What did we ever do before it came along?  I love to cook and try new things which works out great because my husband loves to eat!!!! Being a “Southern Girl” I love to be a hostess and share hospitality with my family and friends. I believe in a well stocked pantry so I’m ready whenever I need to whip something up.  I dabble in all things crafty and love decorating.

I’m so excited you took the time to read this and learn a little more about me and my life. Starting a blog is both exciting and scary at the same time.  It so hard to put yourself out there to be judged by others.  I’ll just go ahead and warn you…I’m not a writer, but I’ll try my best.  Be kind.
