Hey and happy Friday friends! Is it just me, or do Friday Favorites roll around faster every week? I can hardly believe we are just 2 short weeks away from Thanksgiving? I’m not sure if it’s because our weather is so warm, or if I’m just in regular ol’ denial that time is clicking by so quickly. Either way, I’m starting to think of things I can take care of now to lighten my load the week of the big day. One of those things is to go ahead and make one of our favorite side dishes.
It wouldn’t be a holiday without this on our table. Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter. Yes! You’ll find it at all of these meals. Up until a few years ago, I pretty much only ate the topping, but I’ve grown up, and now I even eat the sweet potatoes. LOL I shared this recipe several years ago. I’m going to go ahead and make it next week and stick it in the freezer. I shared how I do that in this post. You may already have a version of this in your family, but if you don’t, give it a try. I think you will LOVE it.

This boy of mine ran his first marathon on Saturday and he killed it! He ran it in 3:17:22, was 2nd in his age group, 14th male and 16th overall out of 305 runners. Kent and I are so very proud of him. OH and aren’t the two of them just the cutest?

Do you remember back in the spring when I posted about the Smile Brilliant teeth whitening system? You can read about that experience here. I was really impressed with the whitening system. I used the sensitive whitening system and had great success, so when they asked me about trying their ultrasonic electric toothbrush, I was all for it. I used an electric toothbrush years ago and liked it, but it died and I just never replaced it. I love how clean my teeth feel after using it.

What I wore this week…YES, I actually remembered to document most days. LOL
There’s absolutely nothing not to love about this outfit. NOTHING! The poncho is so soft, looks good with jeans, skirts, pants or leggings. So yeah, it’s basically the perfect piece to add to your closet, and it’s on sale plus 40% off. It’s restocked, but I don’t know for how long because it keeps selling out. The pants are twill pull on cargos. I wore them to bible study yesterday and I felt like I was wearing pajama pants and nobody knew it. I kept thinking I should just order all the colors. #comfortiskingpeople

It has been anything but warm here this week! We have ice and snow flurries… I am breaking out ALL the layers. Funny enough it’s making me anxious for Christmas and I’m kind of bummed to be waiting two more weeks to decorate (I host Thanksgiving and refuse to have Christmas stuff around until I’m really and truly done with the fall décor).
I hear ya’, I can’t decide if I should just go on and do it or not. With Thanksgiving being so late, it really shortens that Christmas decor window. Happy weekend. XO

Holy SMOKES your son is FAST!!! I ran my first and probably only marathon a few years ago and I had a goal to finish in under 5 hours and I was 5:05 or something! LOL! BUT, I was really proud of that!!! LOL! It is an awfully long distance. I would def. be proud of him!!! I need to check out that sweet potato casserole, I told my brother I’d make one for Thanksgiving and bring it over.

I am ready for COOLER temps and I want them ASAP! I am seeing the temps drop here and at the coast so that makes me happy. Its November! Its supposed to be cold. And great job Benny! Considering I walked my half marathon in 3:14…..well he kicked Booty! YAY!
