Hey y’all! ?Do-da-doooo!!!? Today Katie comes home for Christmas break. That means I’m one happy mama. OH, and remember that microbiology final she spent all of Thanksgiving break studying for? I’m happy to report she got a 97 on it. Way to go girl!!!! Now back to our regularly scheduled programming…today I’ve got an at home try on haul for you. My house has been looking like a small freight warehouse here of late. With all the sales, I’ve been an equal opportunity shopper. HA! Today is also our Style Six linkup, so if you’re a fashion blogger, I hope you’ll link up, and if you’re a reader, this is a great way to find new bloggers to follow.
Anthropologie has been having some great sales, and you just know I had to get in on that. This waffle weave top is one of the ones I ordered. I love an empire waist and then throw in a v-neck, and well I’m all about it.
Then there is this little tiered babydoll top. Where do I even begin? It’s a waffle weave fleece that’s soft as a baby’s blanket. You might remember I wore it for our family pictures. I ordered all three colors because Katie and Erin both wanted it for Christmas, so we each got a different color. I think that pretty much says it all. An all around winner.
This sweater is from Madewell. It has really cute popcorn detailing and a slight bell sleeve. It’s cute, but not the softest material I ever felt.
American Eagle has some of the softest flannel around. I have several of their plaid shirts and when I saw this red plaid flannel babydoll top (that’s a mouthful) I had to try it. This is just the type of shirt I like to wear when I’m hanging out at home…not that I don’t also like to wear them out. They pair beautifully with vests too, so they are all around great closet staples.
Y’all have been hearing me talk about these sweaters for quite a while, especially on Instagram. They are the real [comfy] deal. Perfect for leggings or jeans and soft as the day is long. I do wear a cami under them because the weave is a little loose, and with the side slits the air can get right in there. I hope you won’t mind when I end up showing you two more colors. I went to exchange one of mine for Katie and she was torn between two colors, so I just exchanged both and she can pick one and I’ll keep the other. I’m running for mother of the year here.
There are several of the younger bloggers I enjoy following. Brittany of Loverly Grey is one of them. She shared this sweater with faux leather leggings as a cute Christmas party look. I loved the sweater, but it was a little low cut for my short self so ultimately I sent it back. But if you don’t have the short torso problem (or big booty?) this would be a great option. It’s really good quality for a really good price and comes in quite a few colors.

That’s it for this at home try on haul, but I’ve got a Target haul to share next. week. Now let’s get to linking….

Loving this try on session! Lots of variety. I have been eyeing that Amazon sweater for awhile but held off because I was afraid it would be fussy IRL. I think your comments validated my feelings. It’s definitely the type of piece that looks great in a photo…but tough to actually wear. Anyway, loving your Anthro and AE picks too!
Lisa Richardson says
I think that sweater would either be great on you or swallow you whole….hard to know. Thanks Gina!!! XO

Pretty pieces. I have been trying on piles of things lately at Loft Outlet and H&M but never thought of buying them and taking them home to try on here. I think that could be dangerous for me because I would want to keep it all!! You are a sweet mama, and I know your baby girl appreciates you.
Lisa Richardson says
Thanks so much Leslie! Try-ons are dangerous. I just want it all, but thankfully I’m showing some restraint. HA! XOXO
