Whew! Hello Friday! I’m even happier than usual to see you this week. I’ve had a super busy week, mostly trying to figure out the new blog platform. Not only did I get a facelift, I also changed from Blogger to WordPress. If you aren’t a blogger you are probably reading “blah, blah, blah”. Okay, moving on…hahaha.
So without further ado, let’s get to Friday Favorites for this week.
Okay, you had to know this would make my favorites. I mean after all I’m pretty darn excited to finally get this done. I have been thinking about it for months and after Kellyann redid her blog at the end of last year I just couldn’t wait any longer. I had to do mine too, especially once I knew how much she loved Pipdig and how they took care of everything. I didn’t want to try and do it myself. I did the “old look” all by myself and just didn’t know how to get it the way I wanted. I feel so much better about it and how it looks.
I hadn’t had my hair highlighted in about a year but when we were home for Christmas my mom (a former hairdresser) did it for me. She’s the only person I trust to color it.❤️ It looks so much better with some added blonde, but the coloring process is so hard on it and afterwards it has been really dry. I went in search of some new shampoo and found this Argan Moroccan Oil shampoo, conditioner, mask, hot oil treatment and healing shine oil treatment. So far I really like them. The shampoo and conditioner have a refreshing citrus smell and I look forward to washing my hair. I’ve used the mask once and before drying I put a dime size amount of the healing shine oil in my palms, rub them together and put it on the ends. It’s made it feel less dry and that’s a score.
Kent and I were supposed to go to friends for the Super Bowl, but one of them wasn’t feeling well so we ended up staying home with a party for two.
I made Hot Corn Dip and that’s pretty much what we ate for dinner. I did at least slice carrots thinly to use as chips and that worked out great. This dip is also tasty cold but we prefer it heated.
So did y’all watch This Is Us after the game and then again on Tuesday night? Good grief! How much emotional upheaval are we expected to take in one week? I’m telling you, that Jack is one of a kind. If you are one of the 7 people in America NOT watching this show then you need to change that. PRONTO!

Thanks for the haircare tip! I use Suave’s oil on Ari but I think she would do better with a shampoo and conditioner with thr oil instead. I will gladly be one of the 7 who doesn’t watch This Is Us! Bring on all the housewives for me instead! Have a fun weekend!

I really need to do a blog update. I want to stay with blogger but would like a new template. Does pipdig have templates you can buy? I’m so glad I never started watching This is Us – I don’t think I could take it! Hope you have a great weekend!
Yes, they have both blogger and WordPress themes and are very reasonable. Check it out. You can install or they’ll do it for you. I also would scroll to the bottom of other blogs to see who designed their theme, click on it and check them out too. I went with Pipdig because they would install and did my migrations to WP too. Love your party a deux and the dip sounds yumsville. TP has watched the rugby but I don’t cosy up with him, maybe I should and surprise him with the corn dip. Finally!!!! Yesterday I was a wad of stress and at one point I just thought “what am I going to do” Pipdig had said they couldn’t help bc it wasn’t a theme issue and I think you have to know the Pope to get in touch with someone at WordPress. I love Hask products! The conditioner makes my hair so soft and they always smell amazing! I love the new look too! I have been using blogger for 5 years now and would love to change to word press but I am so scared! I don’t know if I will have time to figure it all out! What are your thoughts?
Well it seems there are a lot of us who feel the exact same way. I think I like it..LOL Once I get it all figured out maybe I’ll do a post on my thoughts. (probably be a short post.hahaha) Happy Valentine’s Day week!! XO
Well, wonder what you think about Word Press, I’ve thought about converting but it sort of scares me. I get too comfortable with all things familiar. :o)) And, Corn Dip! I actually think I like it. LOL Change terrifies me and this has been a big one. I still want to get a comment system that will automatically email my response back to you (the commenter) but I’m having some trouble with that part. It’ll get worked out. I just LOVE those strappy leopard heels under #5! I was wondering if you moved over to WordPress! I love it!! It was a big learning curve for me though at first. My husband helped me a lot!! I’ve been wanting to switch shampoo/conditioners… I currently use Dove, which is just OK. But, sometimes I use other brands. I need to look and see how much the Argan Moroccan Oil shampoo, conditioner is!! If it works really well, I don’t mind paying a little more.

Thanks Carrie! Those are actually flats and I love them. They are so comfortable. (I’d like a pair of heels like them though) Yes, I did move to WP when I got the new theme. I think I like it…lol. Still working on getting a good comment system in place. I emailed everyone and their dog about the Disqus thing and got a whole lot of finger pointing to it being someone else’s problem. I finally gave up. (even the actual Disqus people were no help) Oh well, it’s not the end of the world. That Hask shampoo and conditioner are really reasonably priced. Check into them.
