Hey friends and welcome to the last Style Six linkup for September. Crazy, right? You sure can’t tell it’s fall here in California right now. This week our temps are in the upper 90’s. Let’s just say that it’s definitely not optimal for taking pictures outside in layers. Know what I mean? I’ve got a few things to share with you, for Style Six and then an abbreviated version of What’s Up Wednesday. I’m pretty excited with myself that I remembered to do it this month. HA!
It’s no secret I’m a pretty big fan of the Aerie brand. They consistently come out with the softest pieces of clothing, and you know how I feel about soft clothes. #bigfan I placed an order for several sweaters recently and they did not disappoint.
So when I put this sweater on with the crossover in the back the way it’s intended to be worn, I thought it was cute…but I had a feeling it could easily be turned around and worn with the crossover in the front. Guess what? I was right. #nevergettiredofthat I actually liked it better when I reversed it. This sweater comes in 5 different colors and it’s currently on sale 40% off. As with all of the Aerie sweaters I’m sharing today, it’s super duper soft.
Aerie recently introduced a new line called OFFLINE that consists of mostly leggings, sports bras, and some sweaters. This one is just as soft as the previous one, and the knot on the front is flattering and easy to wear. It comes in 6 colors and is currently on sale 30% off. The sleeves run long, so I put a large cuff, and it was perfect. There is a seam that runs up the front, and the neckline is a little wider than a crew neck. This one could probably even be worn with leggings on some people.
SIMILAR SNEAKERS
This one was probably my favorite. It’s a little longer in the back and the overall length is P E R F E C T for leggings. These leggings are my new camo faux leather Spanx, and I’m absolutely smitten with them. If you haven’t invested in a pair of Spanx faux leather leggings, and you’ve been mulling it over. Rip the bandaid off and DO IT. You’ll save yourself a lot of regret, wishing you’d done it sooner. #speakingfromexperience If it had been cooler today, I’d have totally left this outfit on. The sweater is an open knit, and you’ll definitely want to wear a cami or tank under it, because the air will whip right through it. I walked under the AC vent, and that was confirmed. LOL
WHAT WE’RE EATING….
Our restaurants remain take-out and some outdoor seating which means I’m still shakin’ a pot most nights. So this week we’ve eaten a yummy salad that was Romaine, tomatoes, bacon bits and blue cheese dressing with pan seared salmon. Last night we had quesadillas. Such an easy throw together meal when you’re uninspired.
WHAT I’M LOVING…
Honestly a lot of new makeup products. I shared them in this post. I’m also loving the Tarte Birthday Sale going on this week. So far I’ve only ordered one day, and I’m trying to stick to that.
WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO….
The beginning of the birthday season. We celebrated Kent’s weekend before last, and next up is MEEEE, then Katie. You can read all about the big surprise I managed to pull off for him here.
WHAT I’M DREADING….
Trying to figure out all of our travel arrangements for Thanksgiving. I booked all of our flights (mine, Kent’s and Katie’s) and the last 2 days, I’ve been getting emails about changes being made to them. Here’s the problem, I had to book each leg of the flights independently. It’s complicated, so you’ll just have to trust me, but I assure it’s a pain the tokus. #wishmeluck
WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT…
Can you guess? Probably. I leave next Friday for 2 weeks in Nashville. Can not wait.
WHAT I’M WEARING….

Thanks Mica!!! Being so far from my kids and family, I either just do it, or miss out…and I’m not going to do that. HA!

You’re one of the best sources for what’s new at AE! I mentioned to Steve this weekend that we should make quesadillas at home–easy peasy. We realized we’re going to get to spend Thanksgiving in our new home (actually, one of the girls mentioned it-haha) which makes me happy!
Lisa Richardson says
Well thank you friend. I do love their stuff. Are you still planning to move after your knee?
XO
Kim @ Fierce Fashion Blog says
There was a mix up at the drs office, so my surgery got pushed to next month. So, we are going to move sooner than planned.
Lisa Richardson says
Well that’s exciting!!!

Thanks so much. Oh my gosh, I spent two hours last night fixing some…then I had to redo a bunch this morning and got it all worked out, and then dang it all if they didn’t mess those up too, so another two hours tonight. HELP!!!!

Me too Darlene. I love a good legging sweater. XOXO

I think that sweater looks better with the crossover in the front too! Best of luck with your travel arrangements; I know it’s been nutty working with airlines in general lately.
Lisa Richardson says
YAY! Oh my gosh…I totally had to redo them this morning, and then again tonight. Can you believe that? Crazy! Thanks!!! XO
Laura says
I like the crossover sweater way more backwards! But gosh it’s nice to have options! AE should market it like that!
Lisa Richardson says
I put it on my story…maybe they’ll take the hint HA!
Jodie's Touch of Style says
That’s so smart to turn the sweater backwards, Lisa. You sound just like my mom!!

I didn’t know Aerie had sweaters! I’ll have to see if I can get them here in Canada. And yes, flying is a pain in the butt. I hope it all works out the way it’s supposed to.
