Well, I’m back home, and getting in the groove. Today I’ve got fall fashion with Macy’s part two, to share with you. Are you kind of curious why the Macy’s fashion all of the sudden? I’ve shared Macy’s clothing from time to time, but I’ve been sitting on a H U G E secret, and today I’m going to spill the beans.
Next week, is a B I G week for Coast to Coast. I’m partnering in store with Macy’s too curate a collection of clothing. What? Yes! [and the crowd goes wild?] My local Macy’s has offered me floor space to gather a collection of clothes that are styles I personally like and would wear, and I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am. We are launching this collaboration next week on November 4th. I will be in the store from noon to 1 pm, and I’ll be sharing with you on my Instagram story. [See, you really need to be following along on Instagram for all the scoop].
Last weeks post was primarily centered around an adorable pair of distressed boyfriend jeans with leopard behind the distressing. This made them appropriate for anyone and everyone. Not a fan of distressing or feel like you can’t wear it at you “age”? These you totally can. The leopard makes them very modest, and adds the cutest detail.
I mentioned that I hit the INC department and found most of the pieces there that I tried on. I’ve always been a fan of this brand. They consistently have good quality, trendy pieces that won’t break the bank.
This week the outfits all have a super fun pair of wide leg, sailor style jeans that are not only flattering, but trendy in common. They go perfectly with a great pair of heeled booties if you’re on the shorter side, or if you’re taller, you could put them with a flat, flat bootie, or mule.
Have you noticed ruffled sweaters have burst on the scene this fall big time? They sure have, and I for one am totally here for it. Every time I see one, I get all heart eyed. This one is a beautiful camel color, and the perfect fall neutral. How cute would it also look with white jeans? The answer is very cute. I found it too run a little big, so I would have sized down if things had been normal in the store.
Now y’all know I’ve been trying my hardest to embrace t-shirts. It’s easiest for me if they have a cute detail or two. Enter this super sweet rose pink tee with the tie front. A cardigan would be a great addition to this look or a white denim jacket. Remember, we’re now wearing white year round and blowing up the “no white after Labor Day” rule. This tee also comes in other colors, and would be a good closet staple.
I found another tee that has ruffles at the shoulders along with a little cute studded detail. I should get some kind of award for not leaving the store with every single one of these pieces, because I’m here to tell you that’s exactly what I wanted to do. BUT since I’m at home 90% off the time, I exercised self control. #sohard #iloveitall
One of my favorite pieces was this super cute purple sweater. I’m not a huge purple wearer, but I decided to give this a shot, and I was so smitten with it. I really love every single detail from the sleeve length, to the slight puff sleeve, to the neckline and overall fit. It’s super soft and comfortable, and just a great choice for this time of year.
Last up is another dress, and oh my goodness is it all kinds of perfect in every way. The fabric was super comfy, with just the right amount of stretch. The sleeve length is great for transitioning seasonally or if you work in an office that tends to be cool. The details are precious from the ruffle on the sleeve to the double ruffle around the bottom. And y’all know I’m a huge fan of a v-neck. A long black cardigan would layer beautifully over this, but I think you could just as easily add a denim jacket for a little more casual look. You could also totally wear black tights with booties or boots and take it right into winter.
Do you shop Macy’s? I’ll be sharing more Macy’s fashion with y’all as this progresses. I’m so excited and flattered that Macy’s is allowing me this opportunity, it’s going to be a lot of fun. I’ll be headed into the store in the next few days to find the clothing that will be in the “Coast to Coast” section. Make sure you head to Instagram and follow me here. I’ll create a Macy’s highlight for the launch and try-ons.
