Black and White for Summer

Hey friends! Happy Monday to you! We’re about half way through summer (cue the tears) which means there is still time for a few new items in our closets. Black and white for summer is a classic combination, and always a good go-to when you are feeling uninspired…or even when you are feeling inspired.

Before I get to the details of my outfit, I have to tell you about the place these photos were taken. Our new townhouse is about a mile from an agricultural center that’s more like a park. I go over there most days and walk. It’s beautiful scenery, has horses and pretty buildings on the property. A few weeks ago Katie, Erin and I hung out on a Friday night and I got them to take some pictures for me. We had a lot of fun and laughs moving all around the property and taking pictures. Nothing brings me more joy than hanging out with my people!

My mom has been wearing these Brigitte pants from Chico’s forever and singing their praises. When I had the opportunity to try them, I decided to give them a go. Well I’m so happy I did. They are seriously some of the most comfortable pants I’ve ever worn. They’re pull on, which may sound “old”, but even young gals like me like them. #winkwink I’ve now gotten them in black and white. They’re perfect for dressing up, or more casually like I have them styled here. They come in cropped, ankle and regular lengths and a lot of colors. Can a girl ever have too many black tops? No way, but if you’ve reached saturation level on the black top front, this tunic comes in other solids, animal print and stripes. It’s soft, breathable, and super comfortable with my favorite v-neck neckline and cute curved hemline that looks cute with pants or shorts.
