Hi friends! Thanks so much for stopping by today. This is my second time to participate as a member of the Ageless Style Link Up. If you aren’t familiar with it here’s what we’re about…
The Ageless Style Link-Up – The first Tuesday of every month ten over 40 bloggers present a different style theme and show a myriad of ways to wear it, all the while proving you can still be fashionable and on trend over 40 and beyond.
This month Jennie picked the color yellow as our theme. Yellow is such a happy, springy color and the funny thing is a lot of women tend to shy away from it. Honestly, I hardly have any yellow in my closet. I have been adding some mustard yellow and am finding I really love it. As luck would have it, I had already ordered this adorable yellow gingham dress and had it hanging there waiting to be photographed when I found out about our theme. I love it when things just fall into place like that.
I could have gone with a neutral shoe for this dress, but decided to add just a little more color and paired it with teal/turquoise block heel sandals. Mine are sold out, so I linked to these. I love how they compliment each other.

Turquoise shoes call for turquoise jewelry. I ordered this necklace and earrings during a recent Baublebar sale. Would you believe it was my first time to order from them? I love both pieces. I also got this necklace which is quickly moving to the top of my favorites list. Turquoise jewelry is a must have for spring and summer. It goes with so many other colors and adds a little drama to what could perhaps otherwise be a little boring. I find myself wearing my turquoise pieces a lot this time of year and into early fall.

Have you happened to notice my pictures all have yellow in them somewhere other than just my dress? I guess yellow is more popular than I realized. Hahaha!

So how about you? Are you a fan of yellow or do you tend to shy away from it? If you tend to be in the second camp, I’d encourage you to give it a try. You just might be pleasantly surprised and become a convert.
Every month we have a cohost along with our normal group and this month’s is Amy of Amy’s Creative Pursuits. Amy is a fun loving grandmother (can you believe it?) who blogs about lifestyle and fashion. I love how she added a cute yellow bag and yellow earrings to highlight the yellow in her floral top. There may be snow on the ground, but Amy is channeling spring with her sunny details.
You can find Amy’s blog here and find her on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Bloglovin’.

Love how you coordinated with your backdrops! That dress is super cute! I don’t think I’ve seen yellow gingham before, but I love it! When I wear yellow I like to pair it with turquoise too. Yellow and turquoise is such a pretty combo!
Lisa Richardson says
Yellow and turquoise for the win! When I was taking the pics and saw the yellow can in the background, it got me looking for more yellow. Thankfully it was easy to do. I though I was so clever…LOL. (it’s the little things, right?) Happy weekend! XO

And it’s the best that you added in the turquoise, and I’m not just saying that because of my outfit…ha ha!!!

I am so glad you ladies chose yellow as the theme this month because it is a huge color for Spring this year and I even wore it IRL yesterday. Your dress is nothing short of stunning (I want it!) and also my favorite yellow outfit out of you all ladies of the linkup. Looks perfect with the turquoise jewelry too, Lisa. I also love (and did notice too) that each photo at a different place had some yellow in it. Nicely-matched with your backgrounds, darling!
Welcome by and join the Sunday Showcase linkup for this month and as usual stop by Thursdays for my style linkup. =) Thanks!

I absolutely adore this dress! I love yellow and gingham! You look beautiful in it! I think sometimes people are scared to wear yellow because it’s so bright, but when it’s done right it looks so great! Especially for spring!

Isn’t it just the sweetest?! You’d look darling in it, Kasey. Happy weekend!
Carrie @ Curly Crafty Mom says
I don’t think I would have ever thought to pair teal with yellow, but WOW! It really works. I have a lot of teal accessories, too, so now you have me brainstorming. That dress is so cute, I love the ruffles, the gingham print and the sleeves! Plus, that shade of yellow is so soft and just perfect for Spring!
