Hi friends and Happy Valentine’s Day to you!!! This was quite the weekend between the Super Bowl and all the pre-Valentine’s Day celebrating. I wish they’d been at least a week apart. Don’t you? I was gifted this beautiful navy and white tunic from Chico’s and it couldn’t be more perfect as we approach spring. Speaking of spring, Friday it was 70° here in Nashville, and Saturday is 35° with a few snow flurries. Crazy weather at it’s finest. Definitely not something we experience when we’re in California, and honestly I love it.
Now let’s talk tunic. I love navy and white. It’s a crisp combo, and they go together like peanut butter and jelly. I also think the two colors when paired together scream spring and summer.
Of course I went with white jeans for this tunic. I mean, it really just made sense. If you are a bit more adventurous and like color mixing, you could easily put it with red or hot pink pants, and it would also look good with navy pants or dark blue jeans. I do think it would be super cute around the 4th of July with red bottoms, but I promise it will sold out by then, so if you like that idea, don’t wait to make the purchase. Yikes, I just checked and in just the last couple days, several sizes have sold out. ADD TO CART!😉
What I was really drawn to on this tunic/top were the bows at the cuffs. I have the contrast cuff rolled up, but you can also wear it rolled down and the stripes look super cute. The stripes on the cuff run in the opposite direction, so there’s a lot of visual interest.
My white jeans are also from Chico’s. These are great! I’ve had a hard time finding good white jeans in the past that are thick enough to hide cellulite. If you have that same issue, you will love these. Not only that, but they are “no-stain”, and trust me, I’ve put them to the test. HA! You can spill on them and it brushes right off. Even if they do get a stain, it washes out well, and they don’t get that dingy look other white jeans get.
What do you think? Do you love it as much as I do. I hate that by the time the weather comes along to really put it to use, it will be sold out. That’s one thing that drives me nuts about the fashion industry and particularly when you are in this business like I am. I have to be watching ahead of season, and so often things sell out. If you’re like me and you have a hard time shifting gears, it makes jumping on trends challenging. I’m getting better, but still struggle with it.
