Happy Friday my friends!!! Okay, you are going to want to read this one once you get to the bottom. I promise, you WON’T believe it!
But first let’s find out what made me chuckle and happy this week and talk about Friday Favorites.
This isn’t so much me, but it’s definitely something I could hear Katie saying…that girl is something else.?
I felt pretty good when I realized my shoes, socks and weights were all color coordinated.

Bath and Body Works had a buy 3 get 3 offer the other day and I stocked up on some things. I tried this clay body scrub and love it. It exfoliates and lathers. I used it on my dry elbows and legs and they felt so much smoother when I got out of the shower.
This falls under the category of being able to laugh at yourself. Keepin’ it real here friends. When Katie asked if I wanted her tiara I was like, “YES!”…here’s her Snapchat.
So let me bring you up to date on our travels. Katie and I got to the airport yesterday at 11:00 for a 12:40 flight. It was already delayed when we got to the airport but they said they were going to hold the connection for us (and some others). Well it kept getting delayed to the point they would no longer be able to hold the connection so they pulled all of us from that flight and had to reroute us. Getting into Nashville right now is a challenge because all the flights are booked due to the eclipse. If we wanted to get there before Saturday our only choice was to take a flight to Las Vegas last night and then to Chicago. We got to Chicago around 1:00 am and our flight to Nashville leaves at 5:35. Seriously?!?! Can you even believe this? So here we sit at 1:31 in the morning. Katie’s watching Gilmore Girls and I’m blogging. And our new friend “Flossy” is jumping around like an endless ball of energy.
Have you ever heard kids singing “this is the song that doesn’t end, it just goes on and on my friend”? Well that’s our them song but insert the word day for song.
Meet little Miss Flossy. I gave her gum on the first flight and so when we got off the second one she asked for more.? I traded her gum for a picture. She’s the cutest little ball of spunk you’ll ever meet.

So there you have it. I bet you’re thinking you never want to travel with me because I must have the worst luck ever. We’ve never had issues like this before and I’m going to believe the return trip will go much smoother.

I had a black travel cloud over me. We got here and the weeks been great. I'm going to cross my fingers and toes that our return flight on Labor Day will be much smoother. Hope you've been having a great week!

You know what? It's funny you'd say that because I figured I was pretty close to you. So near and yet so far?. I hope you've had the best week and are all adjusted to your new normal again. I guess the good news is I'm getting weaned off my girl gradually. I'm so behind this week and now I need to try to rally and get a Friday Fav for tomorrow. Oh the life of a blogger. LOL XOXO
Oh no! That is terrible! Silver lining: you are getting a ton of one on one time with your girl before she starts her new year. Hopefully you guys can keep the frustration and fatigue at bay. Easier said than done I bet.

I think you should have worn a tiara on your flight, I mean seriously if they realized you were royalty none of these shenanigans would have ever taken place I'm quite sure. At least you have smooth skin thanks to that body scrub, which BTW I must get, and you look spectacular! How about that new friend of yours? What a cute girl, I swear I love the fun spirit in kids. They make everything better, right? That's what I tell myself when I get to work each day, they just make my heart happy. Well I certainly hope you and Katie are safe and sound in Nashville and having a wonderful time!

I don't travel often and when I have, so far have had good experiences. I'm pretty sure I'd choose driving from now on if I were you! Ha. Just kidding. Hope you guys have an awesome time!!!

The little girl's parents were probably so grateful that you were playing with her and being such a good sport!
We got delayed on our flight to O'Hare last summer, missed our connection, and spent 2-5 AM sleeping at the airport Hilton.
She was a hoot and we were entertained by her. Flight delays are such a pain, but I guess it's just part of the travel game. Happy Thursday!
